Are you turning on your furnace for the first time this season? Or possibly for the first time ever? That 'burning goat smell' as Garfiled would say is normal!
If this is your first ever system turn on you are smelling all the oils burning off your epuiment! (The smell of a brand new furnace!) If your are kicking on an exsiting furnace you could be smelling the dust that has accumulated over the past few months! Rest assured.. the odd smell is normal! (If you are smelling any type of gas... please contact us or a gas company right away!)

The higher the moisture content on the coils, the more bacteria will grow on your unit. If you live in a hot and humid climate, your need for a cleaning is even more vital as such a climate encourages mold growth.
